A few years ago I was on my way to the local Scottish Festival with a water bottle for the day, but no carrier for it. I brought yarn and a hook, and finished it while in line. Since then I’ve made many more, for kids, teachers, and friends.

This pattern relies on a thicker fabric for more insulation from the heat of the day. It also safely holds cash and cards at the bottom, if you’re trying to consolidate your carryings while out and about.

Sizes:
S (M, L) S = short 12 oz. bottle, M = 12-18 oz. bottle, L = 27 oz. bottle

Materials:

• 1 (1, 2) skeins Nature’s Choice Organic Cotton, worsted, 94 yds*
• H-8 (5.00mm) hook
• Tapestry needle

As this yarn has been discontinued, I recommend using Worsted Cotton, by Blue Sky Fibers.
