Knit these 3 character egg cosies for a cheery Christmas breakfast. The pattern includes the Snowman, Santa and Reindeer egg cosies. Designed by Amanda Berry @fluffandfuzz, the cosies are knitted in acrylic DK yarns on single pointed needles (not in the round). Reindeer’s antlers are i-cord pieces worked on two DPNs.

NEEDLES
A pair each of 4mm single pointed knitting needles (US 6) and 3.5mm DPNs (US 4)

RECOMMENDED YARN
Sirdar Hayfield Bonus DK; double knitting/light worsted weight; 100% acrylic; a few grammes in each colour

NOTIONS
Tapestry needle, small beads for eyes and a handful of toy filling or cotton wool balls for stuffing each head.

SIZES
One size only - Approximately 13cm tall and 8cm wide (un-stretched).

TECHNIQUES
For confident beginners and above, other techniques used include casting on and off, knits, purls, increases and decreases, and seaming to finish.
