Festive Lights Christmas dishcloth
The Festive Lights dishcloth is perfect as a quick and easy Christmas project, and will make a lovely seasonal gift!
Knitted in DK yarn, the Christmas tree design is worked flat, top-down, and knitters can choose to work from written or charted instructions.
The Festive Lights dishcloth can be knitted in two versions - the majority of the pattern in both designs is worked with just knit and purl stitches; in version A the fairy lights on the tree are created by simple lace eyelets (making it an ideal beginner project) and version B uses beads to represent the lights instead.
The pattern uses approximately 22 - 35 grams (55 - 85 metres) of DK yarn in a solid colour. Cotton or cotton blend yarns will give a hardier and more absorbent fabric if this is to be used as a dishcloth, but the pattern has also worked well in 100% wool, as well as acrylic blends in testing.
If working the beaded version you will need 30 size 6 seed beads and a crochet hook or other beading device.

And huge thanks, as always, to my very patient and lovely Admin Fairy, Helen, for formatting the document (and a whole lot more!)
