This PDF includes the written instructions in US terms and step-by-step photos detailing how to make the pieces to finish your creation. When made with DK weight yarn (sample made in Stylecraft Special DK) and a 2.0mm hook, the finished santa will measure around 20cm/8” tall.

The project can be made using any weighted yarn, just adjust the hook size to match your choice.

You’ll need to know how to:

• make a Magic Ring or a chain 2 equivalent
• work in a round
• single crochet
• increase/decrease
• half double crochet
• front/back loop only
• slip stitch
• bobble stitch (photo tutorial is included)

You will need the following materials:

Yarn: Stylecraft Special Dk - Acrylic - 100g/295m/323 yards
1 ball of each colour (you won’t need full balls): White 1001, Walnut 1054, Claret 1123, Black 1002. We also used Womens Institute in Honey, Sirdar Snuggly Snowflake fluffy yarn 0200 and Jomil Starmist decorative thread in Gold.
