This is a free ornamental hanging snowflake pattern.

There is a small snowflake hanging suspended inside a larger snowflake. The construction of the larger snowflake is somewhat like a wreath in that the center of the larger snowflake is wide open.

The smaller snowflake freely turns separately from the larger snowflake when it’s attached to the larger snowflake using sewing thread.

Materials needed:
Size 10 crochet thread
Size 8 (1.5mm) crochet hook
Fabric stiffener
Stainless Steel Rust Proof pins
Blocking board
Plastic Wrap to cover the blocking board
7 small beads (optional)

The finished sizes of the completed snowflakes totally depend upon the sizes of the crochet thread and crochet hook that are used.

Using size 10 crochet thread and a size 8 crochet hook the largest snowflake is about 4.5 inches in diameter.
