This pattern is for a beautiful velvet clutch. Finished measurements 5.5” x 10.5”. It requires a combination of knitting and basic sewing, machine and hand-stitched. The outer shell is knit flat and the inner liner is sewn from craft felt.

The felt liner provides structure to the clutch while also protecting the delicate velvet fabric from whatever contents end up inside the clutch.

You will also need a 7.9in/20cm zipper and upholstery thread.

You can get 3 outer clutch shells from one skein of Lion Brand Vel-Luxe yarn. I made this pattern specifically for this yarn however I think that other velvetine yarns of similar weight would also work.
