“Feuerschein” is a lace-pattern for a triangle-shaped shawl.

The german word Feuerschein means both the impression when looking into a fire and seeing fire from afar.

There was this one skein of Schoppel-Zauberball sock yarn that had been given to me as a gift - and still unused. So I started with some stitches, wrote it down, continued… And later turned my hand-written notes in a digital version. It has not been tested yet by anyone else but me. So have fun!

The pattern is only charted. It is outstretched on one page - if you work from the screen just turn it as big as you need.

You can use any sock yarn/fingering yarn you like. I would just recommend using variations of red or orange tones, to get the impression of fire. My yarn runs 420 metres/100 grams, and I worked the bind off after row 161 - there was not enough left to work another row. But I wrote the pattern until row 170 - if you want a bigger shawl you can continue working the first and last 20 stitches of the pattern plus a yarn over on both sides of the middle stitch in every even row and purl every odd row - as long as you like.

Die Idee hat sich aus den schönen Feuerfarben der Wolle ergeben die ich geschenkt bekommen hatte. Und ich habe einfach drauf los gestrickt und alles notiert - zuerst handschriftlich, später dann auf dem Rechner digitalisiert.

Das Muster ist auf einer Seite dargestellt - wer direkt vom Bildschirm strickt kann die Größe einstellen (eine Druckversion würde ich von A4 quer auf A3 quer vergrößern).

Bisher ist das Tuch nur von mir gestrickt worden - es gab keine weiteren Tests.
