The pattern is worked from top to bottom. The saddle shoulders are knit first, then stitches are picked up with additional stitches cast on between the shoulders for the upper back. The shoulders are shaped with short rows, ending the upper back after armhole shaping is worked. The process is repeated with the front, working a V neck from the picked-up shoulder stitches. Once the front armholes are shaped, you will join in the round with the larger needles after casting on additional underarm stitches. This will start with the stranded portion of the lower body, worked in three charts. A short ribbed border will complete the lower body. Sleeves are also worked with short row shaping for the sleeve cap, ending with motifs before the edging.
