The Fiber Fab gloves are a wonderful way to celebrate that special skein of fingering weight yarn in your stash. After watching me knit countless versions of fingerless mitts, my husband challenged me to knit gloves…with fingers. Mission accomplished!

One of the attributes I considered was that palms are not perfect squares. Thus requiring the bases of the individual fingers starting at varying heights. At the same time, I played with ribbing to maintain a snug fit throughout the changing width of our hands. Because they are fairly stretchy, the size S could be considered size S/M. Alternately, size M could also be found by going up a needle size.

All that said, knitting these gloves was not nearly as fiddly or time-consuming as I had feared. The fingers knit up quite quickly using magic loop, and proved to be ideal tv knitting. So grab that waiting skein, put on a movie, and cast on some gloves.
