Fibonacci was an Italian Renaissance mathematician famous for popularising Indo-Arabic numerals in Europe. In the Fibonacci Sequence each number is the sum of the previous two numbers, thus:
0, 1, 1, 2, 3, 5, 8, 13, 21, 34, 55 etc
Like the Golden Ratio, it is thought to form a particularly pleasing pattern to the human eye. This tam is a great way to use up scraps and is a great match for the Fibonacci Vest, also free for previous customers.
Pattern is one size only. Brim is approximately 41 cm/16” and meant to be worn snuggly on the top of the head.
This is an easy pattern. Skills Needed:
- Long-tail cast on
- Knitting in the round
- Increasing (m1)
- Decreasing (k2tog)
- Ribbing
- Stockinette
