This matching felted clutch and smartphone case set is worked in one piece from the top down, grafted shut, felted, then cut to make the two finished items. Stranded colourwork makes a sturdy fabric with a bold graphic design. This pattern requires you to carry unusually long floats, but if you catch the floats up frequently and in different places so that they’re not secured in the same place every row, you’ll be fine. Recommended for knitters with some experience with stranded colourwork.

You will also need:
stitch marker
tapestry needle
locking stitch marker
sweater shaver (optional)
fabric pencil or some tool for marking fabric
sharp scissors or shears
sharp-tipped, short-bladed snipping scissors
thread
sewing needle
3 buttons (2 for wallet, one for phone case; buttonholes
are made to measure, so use whatever size and shape
that strikes your fancy)
