The actual pattern makes a tote that is 9” in diameter and 12 1/2” deep. Because I like my totes to hang by my pants pockets, I made the shoulder straps 21 1/2” long.

The pattern is adaptable to

1. a wider or smaller diameter,
2. deeper or shallower and
3. longer or shorter shoulder strap.

I enjoy the pockets on the inside. It makes it easy for me to carry my crochet supplies and everything I carry in my purse, because the pockets hold my “purse necessities” right at the top. So now, they don’t drop to the bottom and get lost like in most totes.
