Field of Flowers
The instructions provided in this pattern will enable you to make this beautiful light, lacey, and delicate wrap that features a simple border with an all-over pattern of a floral motif.
The finished item will measure approximately 65 cm wide by 210 cm long depending on the yarn you use and your knitting tension. The yarn I used is 50% lambswool and 50% wool from Shetland Sheep and the sample was knitted using a 2.50 mm circular knitting needle. The finished article is as light as a feather and wraps beautifully.
This wrap can be worn as an evening wrap or stole or as a scarf.
It can be knitted in a variety of different wool weights from cobweb up to 3 ply or light fingering, however, the heavier the yarn is, the larger the finished article will be.
The pattern is a charted pattern only, with no written row-by-row instructions, so it is not for the faint-hearted. Only buy this pattern if you can knit from a chart.
