Field of Flowers Shawl is worked top-down starting from the neck and increases are made on both sides for a large triangle shape that sits steadily on the shoulders and is easy to tie around the neck in many ways. It will keep you warm and stylish no matter the season.
The pattern uses US crochet terminology and contains full written instruction and chart.
Materials & Tools:
- Yarn DROPS Nord 50g = 170 m, 50% Cotton, 45% Alpaca, 30% Polyamide, 25% Wool, 6 skeins.
- Hook size 3.5mm. Adjust hook size if necessary to obtain correct gauge.
- Tapestry needle (to weave and hide yarn ends).
- Scissors.
Level: Intermediate
Size after blocking (adjustable):
Wingspan - 200cm/78.75”,
Center depth - 90cm/34.43”.
Gauge after blocking:
After Row 6 the triangle is approx. 10 cm/4” high.
Gauge is not crucial for this project. However, changes might result in a different yardage requirements and the finished size.
