Notes
-Worked in one piece to the underarms, the fronts and backs are then worked separately as the armholes and v-neck are shaped. Seamed at the shoulders, stitches are then picked up and knit and worked in a 2x1 ribbed button band to match the hem, with the same trim picked up and knit and worked around the armholes.
-The large number of stitch markers are used to establish the pattern, with one placed between each set of cables and columns. The knitter may wish to use fewer stitch markers or to use improvised stitch markers (such as a loop of contrasting yarn) while establishing the pattern, then removing them later as preferred.
-During neckline and armhole shaping, as cable stitches are decreased, work the cable as a partial cable to the extent possible with remaining stitches, and convert to Stocking stitch when not possible to work a cable.
