I was enchanted when I spied the red novelty yarn with streamers. However, like some other novelty yarns, when knit by itself this yarn was too scanty and did not make the dramatic impact it did in the ball. Combining the novelty yarn with a strand of multicolored cotton gives this bag its festive summery feeling.
