Fiesta Headbands
The Fiesta Headbands are perfect for every little (and not so little!), girl, to pretty up their hair. Gorgeous for parties and special photographs…
Can be crocheted in beautifully bright or subtle tones to match any outfit.
The comfortable and stretchy headband is easy to adapt to any diameter or width and the motifs can also be used as appliqués for other garments, why not try making a brooch or embellishing a pocket or a bag?
They are a great way to use up some of those oddments you just cannot bear to throw away.
Pattern includes instructions for all 7 designs.
Gauge is not essential. The headband can easily be adjusted to produce a tighter or looser fit. They can be worn around the circumference of the head over the hair, (especially pretty on babies and little girls), or as a conventional hair band, they can also be made extra wide and embellished with several motifs and worn over the ears as an alternative to a hat…
Method
The headbands are crocheted from side to side, turning after every row. Each motif is made individually and attached to the headband by hand sewing.
This pattern is recommended for the confident beginner, who would like to try something a little different but a still relatively small project. Some of the tinier elements can be a little fiddly but soon become easy to master.
