The Fifth Knit Headband is a chevron headband in worsted weight – perfect for extra for toasty ears!

Construction details The Fifth Knit Headband is worked in the round. Stitches are cast on provisionally and then grafted together to create a seamless tubular piece for the headband. The pattern includes a link to a tutorial video demonstrating removal of the provisional cast on and grafting the two edges together.

Sizes: Adult Medium

Finished measurements: 3.25”/8.5 cm wide and 20”/51 cm circumference.

Gauge: 20 stitches and 28 rounds = 4”/10 cm in Circular Stockinette Stitch using size needle to obtain gauge.

Needles: US 6/4 mm DPN or other needles for small circumference circular knitting or size needed for gauge. Adjust needle size as necessary to obtain the correct gauge.

Yarn: 130 total yards of worsted weight (CYCA #4) yarn in an assortment of colors.

Sample made with Yarn Snob “A Wondrous Worsted” (100% superwash merino wool, 218 yds /100 g) in the Festival of Lights set of 8 colors, 54 yds/25 g each.

Additional materials: scrap yarn, size G/4.5 mm crochet hook, spare circular needle, stitch marker, tapestry needle.
