“This children’s jumper is knitted from the top down using two shades of sportweight yarn,” says Outi Kater.

“The neckband is worked in twisted rib, after which the colourwork yoke is knitted. The stitches are then divided for the body and sleeves, which are knitted using stocking stitch, ending with twisted rib hem and cuffs.

“No grafting is needed for closing the underarms, as the underarm sleeve stitches are picked up and knitted from the underarm body stitches.”
