Filet à Papillons Shawl
Have you ever wandered through a garden and had a beautiful butterfly alight on your shoulder? Now you canwrap yourself in that pleasant sensation! The Filet à Papillon shawl, (in French, literally “Butterfly Net Shawl”) is worked from the center top outwards to form a beautiful crescent shape that will stay put on your shoulders or around your neck, and uses just a single skein of fingering weight yarn. The last rows form a feminine-but-not-too-frilly edging that gives this airy shawl substance without weighing it down. This pattern is designed to be a wonderful pairing for both solid and variegated yarn!
