Filet TARDIS
Finished project is approx 31” x 49” if worked in 3 dc mesh with worsted weight yarn and I hook, but size can be adjusted some by a change in yarn and hook.
Pattern is 48 blocks across and 87 rows.
Pattern requires a minimum of 21 ounces worsted weight yarn in a royal blue. I Love This Yarn has a wonderful blue that works quite well and Vanna’s Choice Sapphire is a nice blue also. I didn’t have either on hand when I began this project. Note that the afghan is one color. The white is the bedspread showing through the filet holes.
Some patterns suggest using a hook one size larger for the foundation chain. I don’t normally do this but I did for this project. I used a J hook for my foundation chain, an I hook for the body, and an H hook for the edging along the sides. You can use the same hook throughout if your tension is different than mine.
