Fiłò Mitts

Fiłò is the Venetian tradition of gathering together, in the evening after dinner, and spend some time chatting about anything and everything that happened during the day. The term ‘fiłò’ comes for the work ‘fiłar’, with literally means spinning. In the old times whole neighbourhoods came together at the closest stable (the stable was the warmest place during the winter, and the coolest in summer), spinning wool, knitting and chatting.

On the construction
This pattern is knitted in the round using the magic loop technique. The stitches are divided between needle 1 (N1 and needle 2 (N2).
