This pattern includes two versions of fingerless mitts, and was the October offering from our subscription craft box, The Finch Box! Now available as a pdf or paper pattern in our sister shop, Finch Knitting+Sewing Studio.

I love October days, that bridging time of year when happy dreams of falling leaves and woolen mitts begin to awaken while we still cling to the fruits of the summer. These tweedy mitts are light and lovely, warm but not heavy, and perfect for this time of year.

Two mitt designs are offered together in this pattern. Seamless mitts, knit in the round with a cozy cable and gusset thumb, and seamed mitts, with a slit for the thumb, as an easy pattern that you can whip up quickly for gifts or whenever your hands are chilly.

Sizing: One size fits most. Seamed mitts are 6” in diameter, unstretched. Seamless mitts are the same.

Gauge: 20 st and 39 rows per 4 inches in st st
