Originally designed as a collaboration with Tippy Tree Yarns for their 4TH ICON MKAL, celebrating Julie Andrews. The MKAL ran in November 2022. The pattern is now available to everyone!

For most of us, when we think of the iconic lady that is Julie Andrews, we also think of the loving, kind and joyful characters that she brought to life. I wanted this shawl to be classic in its simplicity, while being whimsical enough for Mary Poppins, joyful enough for Maria, and interesting and clever enough for Victor-Victoria. I hope it brings back fond memories of Julie for you, and leaves you with a supercalifragilisticexpialidocious knitting experience!

Yarn and notions:

Needles: 3.75mm (US size 5) circular needles (80cm or 32” cable suggested)

Gauge (blocked): 24 stitches = 4 inches in stockinette, garter and edelweiss

Yarn: Julie Andrews Icon MKAL kit from Tippy Tree Yarns
Or: 1x100g skein (MC) and 5x20g mini skeins of fingering weight yarn (CC1 through 5)

Notions: stitch marker or progress marker to identify the front of your work, scissors and tapestry needle for weaving in ends

Finished dimensions (blocked): 40x55x75 inches
