Findus the cat
Findus the farm yard cat stands a cuddly 18 inches high.
He is knitted flat using 3mm needles for the body and 3,75mm for his baggy little trousers.
A fun knit with no complicated stitches or shaping.
The pattern it’self is clearly written with many step by step photo’s to help you achieve the perfectly finished toy.
The abbreviations and materials needed are as follows..
Abbreviations used
k = knit
p = purl
k2tog/p2tog = knit/purl the next two stitches together (decreases 1 st)
Ss = stockinet stitch (knit one row, purl one row)
st/sts = stitch/stitches
inc1 = (increase) by knitting into front and back of same stitch. PLEASE NOTE: if you use any other method of increasing, your stitch count will not work out.
The materials needed are:
DK/8 ply yarn, in the following colours and quantities.
White - 100grm (Equates to approximately 320 yrds)
Rust - 50grm
Tan - 50grm
Green – 100grm
Black - scrap for nose and mouth.
1 Pair each of the following needles.
UK 3mm – US 3
UK 3.75mm – US 5 (used ONLY for the trousers and strap)
1 pair of 15mm plastic cat eyes
I pair of approximately 15mm buttons
Lengths of dental floss for whiskers (optional)
