Original instructions call for 900 grams of middleweight crochet rayon and “Aluminiumnadeln Nr. 2-1/2” for a finished size 155cm by 115 cm.

Knitting is started at the narrow end of the center with 99 stitches cast on.

Note: There are two designers listed for Beyer Band 711: Herbert Niebling and Marianne Vitt. Please see this forum post for an explanation of why Marianne Vitt is the presumed designer of this pattern.
