Stitch pattern is worked over 4 stitches. Increase/decrease the size of the mitts by adding/subtracting by 4.
Gauge isn’t important because you’ll make the gloves to fit. You can just measure the gloves against your hand and arm as you go. I try them on at each step. Then you can get the right tightness/stretchiness feel. Keep in mind this pattern is a multiple of 4, so the size is given by the number of chain stitches you work in the foundation chain.
