Most gloves are knitted on four needles which can be tricky, so why not try this fingerless version knitted on two needles?
They work best in a DK yarn - a self-patterning yarn will give a Fair Isle effect or try two or three stripes for a more vibrant look. The rib at the wrist and at the cast-off edge works really well in a contrasting colour to the body of the mitten.
This is an excellent pattern for using up those scaps of lovely yarn lurking in your stash.
