I designed these fingerless mittens for my 7 year old niece and found that they can stretch to fit my rather wide hands. Though the mittens can stretch to fit larger adult sizes, for comfort you may want to increase needle and yarn size slightly for larger adult hands. Pictures show the gloves on my larger adult hands and my nieces hands for comparison.

Materials used:
Freia Ombre Sport - enough for 2 pairs of fingerless mittens!
Double pointed needles in US 5 and US 6

This is also a great project for yarn leftovers as it can easily be made striped or with contrast colors on the bands and/or thumbs, etc.
