The Finnich Glen Shawl was inspired by the scene in Outlander in season 1 where Dougal brings Claire to St. Ninian’s spring to make sure she is telling the truth. The filming location for that scene was the Devil’s Pulpit in Finnich Glen. This is a top-down Tunisian crochet shawl representing the deep gorge of the Devil’s Pulpit, using crossed stitches to represent lying and open mesh to represent truth. This shawl is worked in two skeins of DK weight yarn.
