“For my Fair Isle footstool cover, I used bright colours for the motifs with natural shades for the background,” explains Mary Henderson. “My inspiration was childhood games with lines and counters. Jamieson & Smith’s Shetland Aran yarn is a pleasing wool to knit with, and works well with stranding for colourwork.”

The footstool cover is designed to fit a footstool cube of 40cm by 40cm.
