Notions - Shawl Construction - This is a crescent-shaped, Scottish-themed shawl. It starts with a unique, stretchy YO (yarnover) Garter Tab Cast On and increases within the various design elements. As we begin our knitting stroll, we will knit a series garter stitches and a field of flowers lace. The shawl would not be complete without the iconic thistle, highlighting the flowers’ beauty and a special place in our knitting adventure. We end the piece with more fields of flowers and a delightful Picot Edge. The size and weight of the Fiona Shawl is perfect on a chilly summer evening or as a layering piece beneath a coat in the colder months.
