Finished Size 6 1/4” square, before filling.
Yarn Harrisville Designs Shetland (100% wool; 217 yd 198 m/1 3/4 oz 50 g): #56 jade (MC) and #38 teak (CC), 1 skein each.
Needles Size 2 (2.75 mm): set of double-pointed (dpn). Adjust needle size if necessary to obtain the correct gauge.
Notions Marker (m); tapestry needle; fresh balsam fir or other fragrant evergreen needles.
Gauge 26 st-pairs and 36 rnds = 4” in double knitting patt.
The Fir-Cone Sachet is worked in colorwork double knitting and features a fir-cone motif. Stuff the pocket with fragrant needles, then sew it closed, for a rich and aromatic gift.
