Fire Circle
Asymmetric triangle shawl in a gradient of shifting colors. Make yours like the firelight it’s inspired by, or perhaps in blue tones like waterfall mist, or the faded greens of receding hills and mountain ranges! Whatever your flavor, you’ll need one contrast color to offset your 5 hues and off you go!
Pattern is both charted and fully written.
Silk Road
The fire’s circle draws us in,
And minds drift off to places unseen.
Dark glints a spark in a stranger’s eye,
As pine sap sends the flames up high,
And sparks fly up from timbers wet.
We settle in and soon forget
When flames were high as strangers we met.
Huddled close as flames grow dim,
Warmth spreads through body, foot and limb.
Wrapped in our blankets and in shawls,
The fire’s magic gets to us all.
By campfire light the stories told
Are still the same as ‘n days of old.
Of mystery and half seen wonder,
Great deeds, Adventure and Treasure plundered
By evil thieves in dark of night,
Risky escapes by candle light,
Of trial, hardship, and battles fought
There’s magic here, my last conscious thought
As I fade off into sleep’s embrace
Strangers to friends with fire’s grace.
