Here is the long-awaited Series 2 of the Shetland Webcam Hats! See the webcams here: Shetland Webcams

The year in Shetland begins with a dozen fire festivals called Up Helly Aa. The fire festival welcomes a new year, and the one in Lerwick can be viewed online on the Shetland Webcams on the last Tuesday of January each year. There is a procession clad in Viking garb through town that ends at the galley burning site in central Lerwick, which can be viewed from Town Hall West cam. Fire Festival Hat is designed to capture the essence of the boat ablaze, with Viking helmets, torches, and oars against the fire in the background. Instructions are provided for two hat sizes: child and adult.

This pattern is available in two sizes: child and adult. There are seven colors in each hat and enough yarn to make both.

The pattern is offered for free until the last scheduled Up Helly Aa for 2019 in Shetland: March 15, 2019.
