How’s that? A yarn crawl? Yep - even if you can’t travel, or shops aren’t able to open yet, we’re on: the Slow Crawl is virtual again this year, too! That actually means you can join in from anywhere!
Get a passport from this shop or other participating shops (they’re $10)
Starting May 27th, visit all the shops - online, or safely in person
Each participating shop will give you the download codes for their pattern and a sticker or stamp for your passport (purchase required for virtual “visits”)

The Fire Shawl (This can become ice with just a yarn change)
Inspired by the Cascade mountains this shawl notes both the similarities between the shapes seen in the flames of fire and shards of Ice. Like these shapes the mountains themselves have a fiery side (the volcanic activity that formed them and that sometimes busts out and the regular ice in the form of glaciers, frost and just plain old cold.
This is a top down open hexagon shaped shawl is made for the adventurous beginner. Skills included are increases, 2x2 ribbing, asymmetrical large cables, and a crochet edge.
Difficulty Level: Adventurous Beginner
Size: 66” across, 26” from back neck to bottom edge.
Yarn:BlackSheep Fiber Emporium’s PCC yarn (400 yards per 89g skein) In the color way Fire (oranges) or Ice (blue tones)
Needle: US 5/3.75mm, 40” circular knitting needles
Gauge: 6 st per inch, 8 rows per inch.
Notions: Fine cable needle
