Firefly - "This Land" Double-sided Afghan Square
Definitely a Firefly & Serenity fan! I felt the urge to make a fun detailed design for a double-sided knit afghan square that is legible, read on the right side and wrong side.
With double-sided knitting you typically k1, p1 per square of the color chart. Usually both stitches are done in the same color per the color chart creating mirror image on the back (wrong side). You are basically knitting two squares of fabric at the same time but they will be connected to each other where you bring the opposite colored yarn from back (ws) to the front (rs) and back again per the color chart.
Here I’ve included instructions on how to achieve fully reversible double-sided knitting, where the words are legible on both right side and wrong side of the work.
