The Firefly Fingerless mitts are designed to be knit with 5 total double pointed needles. Your stitches will be evenly distributed over the needles. If you so choose you can use the magic loop or an alternate number of needles. Please read all the way through the instructions before starting the pattern.

The intent of these mitts was to have elbow length mitts in a thick, warm material. If you are unsure if you will have enough yarn, please weigh your yarn before starting and use half for one mitt and half for the second. You, of course, may make the mitts any length desired by knitting more or less than the pattern calls for. I did not use the entire ball of either the Vintage or the Ultra Alpaca.

Gauge is fairly important for this project. Please be aware that if you knit loosely or tightly you may want to adjust the size you are knitting either up or down.

This pattern was created for my Breakfast Club Knitters. It was test knit by the lovely ladies at Heavenly Stitches. If I have missed any errors, please let me know and I will fix them as soon as possible.
