Since I was a child, fireflies have fascinated me. The twinkle, the sparkle, and the magic they add to the early night sky are so appealing. Somehow, when I see a swarm of fireflies…or lightnin’ bugs, as we call them in the South…I know all is right with the world. Here, the fireflies come to life around the ankle of a simple sock and capture that childhood excitement.
