Firenze Cowl
Inspired by the textiles of the Italian Renaissance, the Firenze Cowl is a reversible, double-layer cowl in stranded colourwork. It uses an an original colourwork chart representing seaweed and waves, and a variation on a traditional colourwork pattern for the vines. The Firenze cowl is worked in the round from a provisional cast on, which is grafted to the end stitches in finishing. A matching mitten pattern is also available; both patterns can be made with 1x50g and 1x20g of each colour of the recommended yarn.
Yarn: Sunday Knits 3-ply (225m/246yd per 50g), 1 skein each colour. Shown in MC Nirvana (92% merino, 8% cashmere), Sand; CC Eden (100% merino), Sage.
Needles: US4/3.5mm 24”/60cm circular needle or size to obtain gauge
Notions: 1 stitch marker, yarn/tapestry needle for weaving in ends
