The Fireside Christmas Stocking is a fun take on a crochet Christmas stocking. Using the block stitch in the round, we create a lovely pin stripe that adds a lot of fun and personality to the stocking. You can create these stockings in any color so they match your decorations, your favorite colors, or whatever you like!
The best part of these crochet Christmas stockings is that they’re great for stash busting. All of the crochet Christmas stockings you see in the photos were made completely with scraps of yarn from other projects. As long as you have 2 ounces each of two colors in a medium (4) weight yarn, you’ll be good to go!
By purchasing this pattern, you will receive:
1) TWO PDF versions: Computer friendly (with pictures & photo tutorial) and printer friendly (only one picture).
2) Links to video tutorial that walks you through how to work this crochet Christmas stocking step by step.
You will need
1) A main color and a contrast color, about 2 ounces each.
2) A 5mm crochet hook
3) Stitch markers
4) Tapestry needle and scissors
5) OPTIONAL: Ribbon for loop.
You will need to know how to chain, slip stitch, single crochet and half double crochet. You will also use sc2tog and fphdc, both of which are explained in the written pattern as well as the video tutorial.
This crochet pattern difficulty is advanced beginner.
