Fireweed
Discontinued.
This digital pattern is no longer available online.
Fireweed is a perennial herb that grows abundantly in the Northern Hemisphere. Fireweed gets its common name from its ability to survive and even thrive on burned soils, often remaining viable in the soil seed bank for many years, when a new fire or other disturbance occurs that opens up the ground to light again.
As spring begins and light again sparkles on the Yukon landscape in Northern Canada, so too, this sock sparkles with its simple bead embellishments and heart-warming colour.
This pattern can easily be converted to a man’s sock by eliminating the flower petals (even the beads!).
