Groups of double crochets create a budlike pattern with a lacy, open background. A colorful border and long tassels give the Fireweed Throw a punch of spring color and fun. The center of this blanket is crocheted from the bottom up in rows before the border is added in rounds.

Finished Size 45” wide and 49” tall.
Yarn Lion Brand Yarn Basic Stitch Anti-Pilling (100% acrylic; 185 yd 170 m/ 3 ½ oz 100 g): #098 Ecru (MC), 6 balls; #142 Prism (A), #195 Hot Pink (B), and #405 Turquoise Heather (C), 1 ball each.
Hook Size H/8 (5 mm). Adjust hook size if necessary to obtain correct gauge.
Notions Yarn needle.
Gauge 10 sts, 1 ch-1 sp or 7 sts and 4 ch-1 sps and 6 rows = 4” in patt.
