Fireworks Festival
We’re having a KAL for Fireworks Festival with video tutorials: please, say hello in this forum here where you can find the links to the videos. Come, join the party, have fun and learn to knit this shawl!
Fireworks Festival is a shawl worked flat on circular or straight needles.
It features syncopated brioche lace in a light speckled colour (the fireworks) on a simple 2 colour brioche dark background (the night sky).
Its shape is similar to a crescent but the top is blocked flat.
The shawl depth is about 78 cm / 30 ½” after blocking.
Gauge is not crucial for this project. I used about one and a half skeins of each colour to complete the shawl and the finished size is still very generous.
Yarn: La Bien Aimée Merino Singles:
- 2 skeins in Winterfell,
- 2 skeins in Neon Static
- or about 1464 m/1600 yards of Fingering weight yarn, half in a dark colour, half in a light colour.
The use of stitch marker (locking or rings) is strongly recommended.
This pattern has been tested and tech edited, but please, if you find any mistake, I’d be so thankful if you would take a moment to write me a message so I can correct it for everyone. It’s 33 pages long and we’re all human :slightly_smiling_face: Thank you!
All my patterns have a story and I’m particularly fond of the one which comes with Fireworks Festival. I hope it’ll give you that strong emotion that inspired my design.
Enjoy your making time!
