YES there are totally shawl kits available from Lichen and Lace for this pattern!

This pattern was happily released on the first day of spring/Spring Equinox/Ostara 2019!

First Bloom has just started where I live! Little crocuses and the buds of Camellias have started to peek out. I shot the photos for this shawl back in January when it was still snowing, but the sharp contrast between the fluffy gorgeous pink of the shawl and grey wet sand and sky of Iona beach in January reminded me so much of little colourful flowers poking their heads out of the snow in early spring.

This shawl was just lovely to knit. I held a strand of Lichen and Lace’s Marsh Mohair with a strand of their 1ply Superwash Merino Fingering Weight dyed in the same colour (Faded Rose) to add light to the shawl. The mohair is fluffy and shiny and it’s just so gorgeous stranded throughout the whole shawl.

Special thanks to my lovely step-sis Sae Goto for modelling for me! And for the lovely Nicola Hodges for tech editing this pattern.

As with all my for-pay patterns if you find yourself low on funds don’t hesitate to send me an email (softsweaterknits@gmail.com) with your ravelry username and pattern that caught your eye and I’d be happy to gift a copy to you free of charge.
