This is the cold weather hat that you will want when those first flurries grace the sky! A modern design with a twisted rib brim and sections of texture and simple stranded colorwork, this bulky beanie knits up quickly. Add a fluffy pompon topper to create a whimsical style.

Fits youth with 18-20” head circumference and adult with 21-23” head circumference. Instructions include full ear coverage beanie (pictured in pattern), optional slouchy fit, or shortened beanie.

Choose two yarn colors with high contrast, both tonal or one tonal and one lightly speckled, to show colorwork and stripe detail best. Two 100 gram (3.5 ounce) skeins should make two hats with the colors reversed, but please note that gauge differences and yarn substitutions will affect yardage/meterage required and plan accordingly. Slouchy hats will also require more yarn.

Finished hat dimensions are approximately 16” around and 7.5” tall for youth size, and 18” around and 8.5” tall for adult size. Hat will stretch comfortably once worn.
