FIRST HEADBAND

KNITTED HEADBAND, knitted in GARTER stitch in the round. beginner friendly pattern

MATERIALS:
Patons Merino Extrafine Cotton DK (50g/120m in one skein) 1 skein, (or other yarn with the specified gauge and length of 50m)

Alternative:
DROPS Cotton merino
DROPS Muskat
Schachenmayr merino extrafine 120

GAUGE:
22 stitches in width and 30 rows in height, in stockinette stitch = 10x10 cm on 4mm needles

NEEDLES:
Double-pointed needles 4mm or circular needles 80 cm (magic loop technique)

Any yarn for 4 or 5 mm needles will work - just adjust the number of stitches you cast on to your gauge. If your gauge is 17 stitches in width, just round it up to even number (18) and cast on 18 stitches. This pattern works beautifully with linen, cotton, merino and blends.

The trickiest part is sewing in the end the headband twist. I advise you to go to my youtube channel and look it up - you have a link in the pattern.
