First Snow has lovely little purl dots that remind me of how beautiful the first snowfall can be. This hat is a simple and quick knit for beginners and experienced knitters alike!
Notes: This hat is worked from the bottom up, starting with a long tail cast on. The body is worked in the round using an easy texture stitch, and finishes with simple decreases for the crown.
Size: To fit head circumference:
Child 17-19” (43-48 cm)
Adult S/M 19-21” (48-53 cm)
Adult M/L 22-24” (56-61 cm)
Yarn: Plucky Bulky 130yds (100% SW Merino)
Or 86 (109, 143) yards or 95 (120, 157) meters of Bulky weight yarn.
Needles: US 10 (6mm) and 10.5 (6.5mm) 16” circular needles and US 10.5 (6.5mm) DPNs
Gauge: 16 st x 21 rows per 4 inches (blocked) with larger needles in stockinette stitch
