First we had...Filet Baby Blanket
This is a chart, as well as a written pattern, to make a baby blanket using the filet crochet technique.
You should already know the basics of filet crochet.
I made my version in a rainbow multi colour, changing colours every 20 rows. It would also look very nice done in a single colour.
There are instructions to make a waffle stitch border at the same time as making the blanket. You can also make the blanket without the border and add your own one after.
I used Elle Vintage Baby 4ply and a 3mm hook. Approximately 500g in total, including the border. There is a link in to pattern to a website that shows alternate yarns with similar properties. EG Stylecraft for Babies 4 ply.
My blanket measured 90 cm x 100 cm excluding the border and 100 cm x 110 cm including the border. If you use a larger hook or a thicker yarn, you will end up with a larger blanket and use more yarn.
Every effort has been made to ensure that this pattern is error free but if you do find an error, please let me know.
