You can use any type of cotton yarn; I used Hobby Lobby’s “I Love This Cotton” and can make two pot holders out of 2 skeins, with yarn left over. They can be made of solid colors also, the finished potholder measures approximately 11.25 x 6. These fish can also be used as trivets, to keep hot dishes off tables.
